Well will this ever end?????

Sunday Mary came out to the barn for her weekly
training with our Bonnie! There was plans for Mary
to ride then Aubrey then me.... We all headed to the
pasture to get Bonnie. The very moment that Bonnie took off into
a trot then canter we saw it!! We all took deep breaths and
caught her and slowly walked her into the barn to examine further.
Bonnie had a HUGE bony bump sticking out from her right rear Canon bone!
It was not soft as if swollen, it was hard like bone. It was horrible!
It was decided that Bonnie would stay in the round pen till we could get the
vet out. No stall for the night because she would just pace in there and that
would be bad for her leg. We placed her in the round pen with water and plenty of
hay. The entire mood of the barn was quiet and down. Mary went into the pen and
gave Bonnie a long hug on her neck and the 'Bonnie group' left quietly with the
knowledge that I would be calling Dr. Lambardi first thing in the morning.

8:00 am I called for Dr. Lambardi and set the time to meet at the barn for 12 noon.
Mary quickly canceled all her lessons for the day so she could come up to Virginia
and be there. The vets (yes 2 arrived for Bonnie) checked her stretch of motion and watched her
try to trot. She was quickly brought into the barn and x-ray-ed. Somehow someway Bonnie
managed to obtain a "Massive bony reaction to her Canon Bone" We have no clue HOW she
did this. There is no scar or anything to show us what happened. As of today Bonnie is in her
stall at night with massive amounts of Hay to keep her busy, then brought to the round pen
to spend her day. She doesn't seem to mind this too much. She can easily see Chief, Buddy and
Judge from where she is and they stay pretty much near their fence line so they can be close to her.
In her regular pasture she does not see them during the day. Although at night in the barn Chief
is across the isle from her and Judge is next door to her.

I am praying BIG TIME that we can figure out a way to sell our home and get out
on property to be with Bonnie.. I HATE having her hurt and needing to rely on the
barn managers to take proper care of her. I know they do, but I would much rather be there doing it.
Oh and I have been! I have been going out twice a day to spend time with her in the pen and
talk to her and feed her too many carrots. In fact I need to back off on the carrots. She is getting carrot aggressive!
