Then he was taken to the back stalls where Bonnie was waiting for him. They sniffed noses and then went on with their day. LOL, No drama, no snorts or squeals. Just a sniff of breaths and they were good.
Yesterday, Saturday, Toby was turned out in the back pasture alone to get used to everything. Then today we arrived to turn him out with his 'sister' Bonnie... (May I just state now that my girl is awesome!!) So today, Sunday, they were turned out in the back pasture together.. There was no drama today either. Just more sniffing of each others breath then off they walked TOGETHER! After about a hour we left them to spend the day together. When we came back to the barn to bring them in and feed them. They were still hanging out together. I am not even sure if they moved 5 ft apart from each other the entire day.
The reason that they did so well is because they are BOTH low horses. Neither of them likes to be dominate or aggressive, I am sure there will be days that they will get pissed at each other and kick out or bite each other, I will worry about that then. But today... they did good!
